What is the Aspiring Leaders Program?

A unique professional development opportunity for Aged Care Provider staff, the Aspiring Leaders Program is aimed at both showcasing participants’ talent and exposing them to real life management and leadership challenges.

The program involves several stages including:

  • Team Preparation

    • Each team will participate in 3 x 3-hour self guided preparation sessions between 16 June 2025 and Showcase Day on 12 September 2025. Times for these sessions are to be determined by team members and a comprehensive guide will be provided. There will also be an Induction session on 24 June 2025 where teams will receive further information and can ask questions.

  • Showcase Day

    • Teams come together on Showcase Day to complete a range of tasks. Collectively, these tasks will simulate a typical day in the life of an Aged Care Provider’s Leadership Team.

  • Post Showcase Day Debriefs

    • The facilitators will guide teams and their coaches through a one hour debrief session to reflect on their output and performance on Showcase Day. These reflective sessions ensure translation of learnings back to the workplace and enhance participant growth and enthusiasm for progressing their careers toward leadership roles.
